Are you seeking happiness? Stop Right Now. It doesn’t work like that. The more you seek, the lesser you find. Happiness has an inverse relationship with our desire of seeking it.
More stronger the desire of seeking, less and less satisfied you become with your life. If you understand this simple law, you break out of this cycle.

You do it enough number of times and it trains you to see only the good things in this world. Again, it’s just training. When you think about 3 things to be grateful for and in your subconscious you have 4 things going on that you are unhappy about, you still end up unhappy. Happens with most of us.
Unhappiness stems from our lack of awareness.
So, should you try reading inspirational articles, watch Ted videos to feel happier and inspired? You can, but they are like drugs. You take a pill now and the effects fade in a while. They don’t work as your problems are yours and your situation is yours. Such things don’t work as they are totally on the surface and don’t help you in knowing yourself better. Keep taking drugs and you won’t address the underlying unhappiness lurking inside you until it’s too late.
Then what must you do? Should you give up? Yes & No. I am saying yes because happiness is illusive, it’s just how you look at the world in this very moment. Just learn to address your perceptions. Understand why you are unhappy and see if it’s real is it a creation of your mind. Most of the times we are unhappy because we just saw someone being happy & having fun on social media. We don’t even know and we realize we want things that we don’t have and we become miserable. Understand these subtleties about your mind and once you understand this, next time you will know when it’s happening. When you come to know about these things then you can do something about them. Knowledge is power. Right now you don’t know why you are unhappy. You get unhappy about everything.
